Change Your Life, But Don't Make New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year!!  The new year is a time when we typically reflect on our lives and identify the changes that we'd like to make.  The problem is that we know that New Year's resolutions typically don't work.

I discuss reasons why they don't work and offer an alternative approach.  Please refer to Sustain Motivation through Compassionate Accountability for guidance about setting reasonable goals and persisting past challenges.  

Any change that we attempt will only last if we are being true to ourselves and acting from self-love.  I discuss my efforts to change over the past year and the challenges that I encountered.  I also review the hidden barriers that I could not have anticipated including past life and ancestral issues.  

Take Action Item:

Do one thing that helps you to feel grounded.  It can be physical exercise, body scan meditation, or a self-care practice (like rubbing oil on your skin).

Write out your intentions for 2018.  You may chose to refer to sources that describe how to write affirmations for manifestation when writing your list.
